I'm not into vampires. One way to see the color drain from my face is to draw blood from my arm.
And yet for some reason I felt compelled to order Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith.
I needed a new book as much as a neck bite. This book will be a departure from what I normally have on my shelf.

ReplyDeleteI won't enter the contest because I'm not sure I could stomach this one, but I am interested to read your thoughts on it when you're done reading.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a vampire fan, but the premise of the book makes me giggle every time. Abe as a vampire hunter. *giggle* So, I have been thinking about picking up a copy just for that reason. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy email is in my profile. :)
I'd love to be entered.

I really want this book. I just read Pride & Prejudice & Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls, then heard about this. Lincoln's always been one of my favorites, so this story should be a lot of fun to read.

Not sure whether I am tight or frugal but I have tried to win this on every blog imaginable with no success. Lady Luck give me a kiss!

i just started the 2nd Sookie Stackhouse book last evening, so vampires are good with me. I think I already have this one on my list and will get it from the library when available, so no need to enter me.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why vampires appeal to me, but they don't all the time, just occasionally. Maybe its an escapist type thing.
I LOVE vampires, though admittedly I faint at the sight of blood. LOL! Great giveaway!

Oh, I'm a big fan of Anne Rice. Twilight was fun but haven't read any of the latest slew of vampire books.
ReplyDeleteReally can't wrap my brain around a historical personage like Lincoln fighting vampires--- but I'm very intrigued.
Please count me in!

I very nearly bought this book yesterday but put it back down again. Perhaps there was some cosmic reason why it didn't make it into my purchases at the Philadelphia airport (you know, like your giveaway?? -- just kidding). Please consider me entered!

I haven't read a vampire book in years. Last one was an Anne Rice novel. I think I'm due. Count me in.

Well, I enjoy reading about Presidents...and at least he's *hunting* vampires instead of emo-ing as one. Can't go wrong with that! I did enjoy Vampire Hunter D (the anime) as a kid so I'd love to give it a try.
